I have known King Emir for a few years after he became a fan of my other YouTube channel.
Emir became the king of Birland, otherwise known as Bir Tawil, a tiny landlocked area between Egypt and Sudan, not claimed by any other country.
Many joke claims have been made to this piece of land by random people all over the world, but Emir takes it seriously.
Birland’s aim to become a country is a humanitarian effort, aiming to help the people of the region, along with stateless people.
Check out what Emir had to say about becoming the king of a country that doesn’t exist, and why he chose to be the king and the president, rather than just the president.
I didn’t think I’d be doing a podcast with a king, or an interview with a king, who just happens to be a fan of mine, but YouTube is a strange place that creates bizarre opportunities.
